The Kelly House Ghost Hunt

They Don't Stay Dead Podcast

You are a paranormal investigator and have been asked to investigate the Kelly family home. They have described hearing knocks on their walls at random hours, the sound of a woman wailing, and claim that their lit candles will mysteriously extinguish. They have called you in, as on top of these strange occurrences, the husband has been waking up with unexplained bruising and most recently he has been scratched after turning off the walk-in wardrobe light in the master bedroom on his way to bed. The strange occurrences and now the physical attack while Mr Kelly was wide awake has prompted the family to call for help. The family has chosen to stay with relatives and has asked you to identify the spirit and cleanse their home of its presence.
The family has given you the following information:
Knocking has been heard all around the house although it seems to occur mostly within the master bedroom's walk-in wardrobe.
Candles will spontaneously extinguish even when there are no open windows, no fans on, and the candle wick has not burnt out. They have tested candles in every room and the candles will always extinguish after some time for no apparent reason.
They have heard wailing, almost like a woman crying, coming from the walk-in wardrobe within the master bedroom.
The family also mentioned that their house feels cold when they first walk in.
Mr Kelly has woken up with unexplained bruising all over his body and recently received scratches down his back after turning off the walk-in wardrobe light at around 10pm at night.
The layout of the house is as follows:
The front door opens to a corridor, on the left is the master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite, and on the right is the internal door to the garage. Further down, the corridor opens up on the left to an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, and on the right just before the kitchen is a door way to another corridor. In this second corridor, to the left is the laundry room and a bedroom, and on the right is a bathroom, toilet and two more bedrooms.
Mr and Mrs Kelly share the first bedroom as you enter the house which I’ll call Master Bedroom. Mrs Kelly’s elderly mother is in the bedroom to the left in the second corridor which I’ll call bedroom 2, and the Kelly’s two children are in the bedrooms down the right of the second corridor which I’ll call bedrooms 3 and 4.
When you enter the house, you notice an immediate chill in the air. You know that most of the activity seems to happen around the master bedroom.
Would you like to begin your investigation in the master bedroom or would you like to walk around the house first?
