Forget-Me-Nots - Chapter 1(Mysta Rias)

You fiddle with the engagement ring on your finger, pacing the room impatiently.

A knock at the door causes you to jump in alarm, straightening out your posture. You clear your throat, "Come in."

There's a slight scuffling noise outside the door before it creaks open. Standing in the doorway is none other than the captain of the royal guard, and your personal bodyguard, Sonny Brisko.

"Hi," he smiles gently, holding the door open for you, "The luncheon is starting soon so we'd best hurry over."

"Alright, alright, I'm coming," You walk over to where he's standing. Sonny waits for you to enter the hallway before gently shutting the door and falling in step with you. He begins informing you of your schedule for the day, the numerous duties you would have to fulfill, and the meetings you would have to attend later in the week, but you find yourself zoning out.

"Are you even listening?" Sonny questions you, snapping you out of your stupor, "That's unbecoming behavior of your highness," he joked lightly. A light frown graces your face, and upon seeing your expression he immediately dips his head down, his smile dropping.

"I apologize, your highness, I made that remark without thinking. Please forgive my sudden uncouthness."
