/="Elodie.... Elodie...." =/She looked away from the sandcastle she was building as she looked around, searching for whomever was calling her name. No matter which way she turned, she could see nobody else stepping onto the beach other than a few birds pecking into the sand near the water in search of food. Elodie shrugged and returned to carefully placing seashells and other various decorative items on her sandcastle.
/="Elodie.... Elodie." =/She jumped as the voice sounded closer to her than before, and this time as she searched near her she could see a figure of a woman emerging from the trees. Her eyes remained fixated on the figure as it moved closer, calling her name several more times. Elodie got to her feet and placed her hand above her eyes, shielding them from the sun so she could make out who it was coming to her. But as she finally could make out the facial features, she sucked in a breath at who she found herself staring at. /="Mom?"=/
The woman continued to move closer as she spoke, /="Elodie, don't make me wait any longer." =/She watched as the woman slowly closed the distance and began to lift her hand up to reach out for her. /="Mom, I thought I would never see you again...
