Will You Survive? A Hijacked Adventure
Ryleigh J.S. King
Your echoing footsteps are the only ones that can be heard as you walk home.
Ten minutes ago, you were helping your eccentric English teacher prepare lessons for next week. Now, you're racing against the clock to get home.
You glance at your watch for the umpteenth time in the last five minutes. The hands have continued to move, ticking closer to your after-school curfew.
You have two minutes to get home before your father starts worrying—ever since your sister disappeared, he worries about everything.
The hair on the back of your neck stands on end, the senses of your other form kicking into high gear.
You glance over your shoulder, but the street is abandoned. Not a single person nor a car can be seen through the flickering streetlamps.
"I need to get home," you mutter to yourself.
