Lost in the Woods

The world is turning visually more vivid and sounds much more acute. You look at the fire and start noticing every color transition, you stare for a moment at the movement of flames extinguishing then rebirthing again. You turn your eyes to the firelight projected on the campers' faces as it fluctuates drawing shapes of shadows. People sitting around the fire are starting to look more like living sculptures. you enjoy dissecting the noises and your brain processes them differently. The stars appear suddenly much brighter, as bright as that one night when, as a kid, your father taught you how to align constellations and name them. You finally sit back, point your stick in the air, and playfully start drawing shapes with its glowing embered end. You could hear Laura having a conversation with her friend and laughing over something. You only imagine they were making fun of someone. You finally look towards Jacob. Your friend does not seem to enjoy his trip like you are. He seems stiff but also fidgety. You start observing him. Then lean towards him and start talking to him.
Hey Jacob, are you alright? You
Yo dude can you see this aswell?
